I received my Ph. degree in Mathematics from the University of Granada (Spain) in 2000. My doctoral thesis dealt with the analysis of some interesting models in reliability being my advisor R. Pérez-Ocón. I worked at the Goverment of Andalucia (Spain) as a research fellow for 3 years. Since 2005, I am an Associate Professor in the Department of Mathematics of the University of Extremadura (Spain). During these years, I have published some research papers in journals on Applied Probability, Operations Research and Signal Processing. Nowadays, my general research interest is in Stochastic Modelling in Reliability.
