Resumen: For rings with a combinatorial structure behind, there are often nice characterizations of the Gorenstein property. In this talk, we are interested in some classes of Cohen-Macaulay simplicial affine semigroup rings which are not Gorenstein, but still good, say good next to Gorenstein rings. In particular, the canonical module structure, the trace ideal and ulrich elements are discussed.
