El próximo jueves 28 de mayo a las 11:00 en el aula C3A, el profesor Wiesław Kubiś, del Instituto de Matemáticas de la Academia Checa de Ciencias, impartirá la charla “The universal homogeneous operator on the Kadec–Pełczyński–Wojtaszczyk space” como Colloquium del Departamento de Matemáticas . 

Resumen: I will present a general method of constructing a generic homomorphism, which in case of Banach spaces is a universal homogeneous norm one projection. In the category of finite-dimensional spaces with left-invertible embeddings, this leads to a generic operator on the Kadec — Pelczynski — Wojtaszczyk space with the universal Schauder decomposition.
